Biography

Janessa Graves’ work focuses on access to health services for rural underrepresented populations and the structural factors related to injury and occupational health services access. She is interested in applied research that informs state and federal health policies to improve access to quality healthcare services for high-need populations and reduce health inequities in underserved communities. Graves serves as the Co-Director of the Occupational Health Services Research training program and leads the Occupational Health Services Area Emphasis in the Health Services PhD program. She holds a primary appointment in the Department of Family Medicine within the UW School of Medicine, and is a core faculty member at the WWAMI Rural Health Research Center.
