Biography

Dr. Janet Bodley is an Associate Professor and Chair of Appointments in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Toronto. She completed her medical degree and postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynecology, followed by fellowships in urogynecology, pelvic reconstructive surgery, and advanced laparoscopy. Dr. Bodley also holds a Master of Education degree from the University of Toronto. Since beginning her career at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in 2003, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to teaching, mentoring both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Her dedication has earned her several prestigious awards, including the MD Program Teaching Award of Excellence, the Master Teacher Award, the Award for Teaching Excellence, and the Neelam Sierra Resident Advocacy Award. Her research interests include urogynaecology and physician wellness, particularly focusing on clinical interests such as pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, and genitourinary syndrome of menopause, in addition to low-risk obstetrics.
