Biography

Janghoo Lim received undergraduate master’s degrees in South Korea and completed his Ph.D. at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He joined Yale University in 2010 and is currently a Professor in the Departments of Genetics and Neuroscience. His research interests include developmental disabilities, mental disorders, motor neuron disease, neurodegenerative diseases, neuromuscular diseases, and spinocerebellar ataxias. Lim has received several prestigious awards, including the Blavatnik Accelerator Award, Young Investigator Award from the National Ataxia Foundation, and the Sloan Research Fellowship from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. He supervises the Lim Lab at Yale where he conducts significant medical research.
