Biography

Janice Kan is an Australian board-certified prosthodontist with a special focus on prosthodontic management of worn dentition, aesthetic challenges, dental implant reconstructions, and complex multidisciplinary cases. She earned her Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) degree from the University of Western Australia in 2001 and completed a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics at the University of Melbourne in 2007. Dr. Kan founded the Centre for Prosthodontics in 2011, previously known as Perth Prosthodontics. She is an adjunct senior clinical lecturer at the University of Western Australia and lectures on various aspects of prosthodontics at numerous national and international dental events. Her research interests include dental implant biomechanics, and she has contributed extensively to the literature, including publications in prestigious journals and textbooks. Dr. Kan has received several accolades, including the Wyn Needham Memorial Prize for outstanding student performance. She remains actively involved in teaching, providing continuing education for dentists, and is the past president of the Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontists. Dr. Kan is dedicated to enhancing patient care through high-quality dental treatments and research.
