Biography

Janja Soldo is a lecturer in Classical Languages and Literature at the University of Edinburgh, having joined the Classics Department permanently in August 2022. She has previously taught Latin and Greek language and literature in Ireland at Maynooth, in Wales at Swansea, and in Germany at Munich, where she obtained her PhD in 2018 with a commentary on Seneca's Epistulae Morales. Soldo is interested in supervising PhD students working on Seneca the Younger and ancient letter writing. She teaches various undergraduate courses on classical literature, including Latin and Greek texts and Roman cultural history.
