Biography

Jared Childers practices law at Murphy & Childers, P.C., focusing on estate and elder law matters. He has been involved in the elder law legal community since 2005, earning the Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) designation from the National Elder Law Foundation, a certification authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in 2015. Childers maintains active memberships in the Pennsylvania Bar Association, elder law section, where he served as chair for 2023-2024, as well as the Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys (PAELA) and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). He has provided continuing legal education for attorneys on topics such as Pennsylvania Medicaid and long-term care benefits for the elderly. Childers graduated from Penn State Dickinson Law in Carlisle, PA, with a Juris Doctor, earned an LL.M. from New York University in taxation, and obtained a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University in Italian.
