Biography

Jared Clements is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Australia Law School and Associate Director of the Centre for Mining, Energy and Natural Resources Law. He is admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor to the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia. His research interests encompass taxation law, mining law, state taxes, and petroleum law, with publications in prominent journals such as the Australian Tax Review and Taxation Australia. Jared teaches various programs at UWA, including Juris Doctor and Master of Taxation Law, and has contributed to curriculum design, incorporating innovative teaching methods. His exemplary contributions to student learning were recognized by the UWA Law School in 2023. He actively engages with professional bodies, serving on the State Council of the Tax Institute of Australia and as a member of the LGBTIQA+ Advisor for his Law School.
