Dr. Jared Grusd

Biography

Jared Grusd is an Adjunct Professor at the USC Marshall School of Business, specializing in entrepreneurship. He has a remarkable background in building transformative businesses by leveraging technology to improve society. Jared has held leadership positions at some of the world's most innovative companies, including Chief Strategy Officer at Snapchat, Chime, AOL, and he served as General Counsel for Spotify. Additionally, he was the CEO of HuffPost and Senior Vice President of News at Verizon. His extensive experience also includes senior executive roles at Google. Besides his corporate career, Jared co-founded several successful startups, including Ethiqly AI, an education technology company backed by leading venture capitalists, and Shake, a legal-tech startup acquired by Legal Shield. He has served on the boards of organizations such as Newsela and SoulCycle. Jared's contributions to the tech industry have earned him notable recognitions, including being listed among Adweek's Class of Young Influentials and Business Insider's Silicon Alley Top 100. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, a JD with honors from the University of Chicago Law School, and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
