Biography

Jaroslava Soldanova is an Assistant Teaching Professor Emerita at the University of Washington, where she specializes in Slavic Languages and Literatures. With a Master's degree in Education from Palacky University obtained in 1976, she has dedicated her academic career to the exploration of Slavic culture, including Czech-Slovak folklore and mythology, as well as the historical contexts shaping these narratives. Her work is characterized by a commitment to understanding the intricate layers of Slavic heritage, exemplifying the rich traditions and histories that inform contemporary cultural studies.
