Biography

Jasmin Seijbel is a PhD candidate and lecturer at Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication focusing on sports, popular culture, and inequalities. Her doctoral research examines football-related antisemitic discourse in both online and offline spaces, exploring educational programs to prevent discrimination and antisemitism within football stadiums. She collaborates with key stakeholders in the field for the Fancoach project with Feyenoord and the Anne Frank House. Jasmin has earned a Master’s degree in Global History and International Relations from Erasmus University Rotterdam and another Master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology and Development Studies from KU Leuven, Belgium. Her master's thesis involved conducting fieldwork in South-West Uganda to understand the social, cultural, and political developments accompanying rural to urban migration.
