Biography

Jasmin Wertz is a Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Edinburgh. Her research focuses on child behavioral and emotional problems, exploring the biosocial etiology of these issues and their implications on life-course, educational, and economic outcomes. Her work integrates theory and methods from developmental science, psychopathology, behavior genetics, and family studies. Prior to her position at the University of Edinburgh, she was a postdoctoral fellow at Duke University in North Carolina, USA. She completed her PhD in Developmental Psychopathology at King's College London. Jasmin also holds an MSc in Neuroscience from King's College London and previously earned both her undergraduate and Vordiplom degrees in Psychology from Humboldt University and Universität Bielefeld in Germany.
