Biography

Jason M. Aliotta is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University and serves as a Clinician Educator. He completed his medical degree at Tufts Medical School and underwent residency training in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Following this, he pursued a fellowship in Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine at Alpert Medical School. Since joining the faculty at Rhode Island Hospital and the Miriam Hospital in 2006, he has served as the Associate Program Director of the Brown Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine Fellowship and currently holds the position of Medical Director for the Respiratory Therapy and the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Rhode Island Hospital. His research primarily focuses on the role of extracellular vesicles in the pathogenesis and reversal of pulmonary hypertension. He has been involved in multiple funded research projects, demonstrating a commitment to advancing the understanding of pulmonary vascular conditions.
