Biography

Dr. Jason Jaskolka is an Associate Professor in the Systems and Computer Engineering department at Carleton University. His expertise lies in Cyber Security Evaluation Assurance (CyberSEA) methodologies, focusing on identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities. He develops data-driven security evaluation assurance methodologies to create meaningful security metrics and ensure compliance with security standards and regulations. Jaskolka is involved in the methodologies of designing and implementing safe and reliable systems, emphasizing robust software-dependent systems architectures and design patterns. His research also covers requirements engineering, particularly in managing security requirements and model-based engineering analysis, to enhance secure system development through the use of automated software tools and formal methods. He integrates algebraic approaches to validation and verification in the development of software-dependent systems. Dr. Jaskolka leads a research lab dedicated to advancing cyber security practices and fostering the development of trustworthy software solutions.
