Biography

Jason Jay is a Senior Lecturer at MIT Sloan School of Management and the Director of the Sustainability Initiative. His teaching and research focus on helping people navigate the tensions that arise from managing resources for long-term health of both people and the planet. His contributions have advanced the fields of corporate sustainability, sustainability-oriented innovation, and systemic investing. His research includes the 'Owning Impact Project', aimed at empowering investors to drive systems change in critical areas like climate change and social inequality. Jay has also developed executive courses that have benefited leaders globally and worked with various organizations to enhance their sustainability strategies. He holds a PhD in Organization Studies from MIT Sloan and has a background in psychology and education from Harvard University. Outside of academia, he enjoys hiking and spending time with his family.
