Biography

Jason Lindo is the Interim Associate Chair and Mary S. Richard B. Inman, Jr. Professor of Economics at the Georgia Institute of Technology. His work primarily focuses on applied econometrics, labor economics, health economics, and public economics. Lindo serves as a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and is a research fellow at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) and a fellow of the Global Labor Organization (GLO). His research explores a variety of topics including the effects of health care policies, employment shocks, and family dynamics. He has undertaken significant studies such as the Colorado Family Planning Initiative and has examined the implications of legal changes on reproductive health care accessibility, as well as the impacts of economic fluctuations on marriage, fertility, and child maltreatment. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Davis in 2009, following a Master’s and Bachelor’s in the same field. Lindo is also involved in teaching, currently offering courses on empirical research methods in economics.
