Baritone Jason Nedecky teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Lyric Diction, Italian Vocal Repertoire, and Advanced Italian Diction, acting as the diction coach for the opera division. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Music degree along with an Opera Diploma from the University of Toronto. In 2005, he joined the Canadian Opera Company chorus and performed covered comprimario roles for the company. He possesses specialized expertise in lyric diction and has worked as a language coach for various organizations, including the Canadian Opera Company, Luminato Festival, Société-Radio-Canada, Toronto Children’s Chorus, Opera NUOVA in Edmonton, and Mountain View Summer Festival in Calgary. He is an English diction specialist and the author of 'French Lyric Diction: Singer’s Guide,' published by Oxford University Press.
