Dr. Jason Smith

Biography

Jason Smith is a dedicated educator specializing in Curriculum Instruction at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He holds an Ed.D. in Curriculum & Instruction from Texas A&M University, earned in 2023, as well as a Master's degree in Spanish Language, Literature, and Culture from Auburn University in 2005, and a Bachelor's degree in French from the same institution in 2002. His research focuses on critical intercultural competency, particularly in special education and urban settings. He has contributed to several conference proceedings and has presented at multiple prestigious academic events, including the ACTFL Annual Convention and the International Conference on Urban Education. His work emphasizes increasing student voice and visibility, as well as motivation through self-reflection.
