Biography

Javad Bolboli is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta. He received his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, developing expertise in Internet of Things (IoT) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), embedded systems, robotics, sensor fusion, and intelligent manufacturing systems. Bolboli serves as the Program Committee Chair for the Prairie Advanced Manufacturing Meeting (PAAM 2025) and contributes to the 19th CIRP Conference on Computer-Aided Tolerancing. With strong industrial experience, he has led cross-functional teams, managed complex projects, and developed innovative systems. Currently, he is leading a Mitacs-funded collaboration between the University of Alberta and Durabuilt Windows and Doors. His research interests include smart manufacturing, Industrial IoT, digital twins, and artificial intelligence. He has published extensively in leading IEEE journals and has received multiple awards, including Outstanding Ph.D. Graduate Recognition and research excellence scholarships.
