Dr. Javad Feizabadi

Biography

Javad Feizabadi is an Associate Professor in Supply Chain Management at the Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba. Prior to joining Asper, he held a faculty position at the Asia School of Business in collaboration with the MIT Sloan School of Management. He has been a faculty member in the MIT Global SCALE (Supply Chain Logistics Excellence) Network and served as a Research Affiliate at the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics for a decade. As part of the MIT SCALE Network, he worked as a researcher at IMD Business School in Switzerland. Throughout his tenure at MIT-affiliated institutions, Dr. Feizabadi has actively engaged with global supply chain challenges as an educator, researcher, and industry consultant. He accumulated eight years of hands-on experience in the manufacturing sector, contributing to his holistic understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of supply chain management. His research focuses on system-level dynamics of supply chain networks, exploring interdependencies at the firm, dyad, and network levels to enhance system performance. Furthermore, he studies behavioral supply chain management, investigating cognitive processes that influence decision-making and adaptability within supply chains. His scholarly contributions are published in leading academic journals such as the Strategic Management Journal and the International Journal of Production Economics.
