Dr. Javed Siddiqui

Biography

Javed Siddiqui is a Professor at the Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, where he serves as the Director of Social Responsibility. With extensive research expertise in auditing, corporate governance, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) reporting in the context of developing economies, his work has been funded by reputable institutions such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and the International Finance Corporation. Javed has significant experience working with international development agencies, including the World Bank and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. His contributions are widely published in prominent accounting and management journals, and he has been recognized for his influential research. Javed is also an Associate Editor of the Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal. In addition to his academic roles, he holds several external positions including serving on the Corporate Governance Committee of the Bangladesh Securities Exchange Commission and advising the UK Commonwealth Scholarship Commission. His ongoing research interests include corporate political connections, sustainability disclosures, and the impact of regulation in developing countries.
