Dr. Javier Cubillos

Biography

Javier Cubillos received his MD degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia and completed his Anesthesiology residency. He also earned a Master's Degree in Health Care Services Management from Universidad de los Andes School of Business Administration in Bogotá, Colombia. Subsequently, he pursued Fellowships in Regional Anesthesia and Obstetric Anesthesia at the University of Toronto, followed by an Advanced Clinical Practice fellowship at Western University. He has been actively involved in academic practice, serving as an assistant professor at university hospitals in Colombia, such as Hospital Universitario San Ignacio and Hospital Universitario Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá. Dr. Cubillos has been a speaker and workshop instructor in Regional anesthesia, Obstetric anesthesia, and Point-of-Care Ultrasound at various international meetings. His research interests focus on enhancing formal education processes for ultrasound applications in anesthesia practice, aiming to effectively disseminate Point-of-Care Ultrasound practices in Canada. He strives to contribute to organized and timely educational processes, ensuring that the rapidly evolving field of ultrasound technology is accessible to anesthesiologists.
