Biography

Javier Marcelo Di Noia obtained a doctorate in biochemistry from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. He is a research professor at the IRCM and director of the research unit on genetic diversity mechanisms. Since 2006, Dr. Di Noia has led the research unit on genetic diversity mechanisms at the Montreal Clinical Research Institute (IRCM), where he is a full research professor. He is also a full professor in the Faculty of Medicine (accreditation in microbiology, infectious diseases, and immunology) at the Université de Montréal, as well as an associate professor in the Department of Medicine (Division of Experimental Medicine) at McGill University. Dr. Di Noia held the Canada Research Chair in Genetic Diversity from 2008 to 2018. His research focuses on the mechanisms regulating the genetic diversity of antibodies and their implications in human immunodeficiencies and cancers.
