Biography

Jawad M. Addoum is an associate professor of finance at Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. His research focuses on portfolio choice, empirical asset pricing, and behavioral finance. His current work examines the determinants of investment decision-making among individual and institutional investors and the effects of investor behavior on stock returns. Addoum's research contributes to the emerging field of climate finance and has been published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, and Management Science. He earned his PhD in finance from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. He completed his undergraduate degree in mathematics and statistics at the University of Waterloo, where he was awarded Dean's Honors, and holds an undergraduate degree in finance from the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University, where he was recognized as a President's Centennial Scholar.
