Biography

Professor Jay Kim is an Associate Professor of Operations Technology Management at Boston University's Questrom School of Business. He teaches courses in operations management, global operations strategy, supply chain management, and product innovation. He has held various leadership roles including department chair and faculty director of the school’s international programs. Professor Kim's research focuses on developing and implementing global operations value chain strategies, particularly investigating the impacts of dominant forces shaping the 21st-century economy and its effects on global companies. He has advised major corporations such as IBM, Raytheon, and Johnson & Johnson, and served as a special advisor to the Chairman of Korea's Daewoo Group. In 2012, he published a book in Korean titled “Growth 3.0” on innovative growth strategies amidst rapid global changes. He has also played a key role at Korea’s Ministry of Science and technology, contributing to cross-border innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives.
