Biography

Jay Song is an Associate Professor at the Research School of Management, which is part of the ANU College of Business and Economics at the Australian National University. He has previously held the position of Associate Professor and Director of the Korean Studies Research Hub at the University of Melbourne. With a strong background in the field of Politics and International Relations, Jay has also served as the Deputy Editor for the Asian Studies Review. His extensive professional experience includes roles in the UK, Switzerland, and Australia, and he has served as a program director at the Lowy Institute in Sydney, as a Global Ethics Fellow at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs in New York, and as an Associate Fellow at Chatham House in London. Notably, he has also worked as a consultant for the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva. His current research focuses on Korean migration to Australia and Korea-Australia relations with North Korea.
