Biography

Jay Trivedi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital, where he works in Dr. Jayasuriya’s laboratory. He obtained his B.Sc. in Zoology, M.Sc. in Toxicology, and Ph.D. in Biotechnology from institutions in India, receiving the University Gold Medal for his Master's program. His research focuses on developing stem cell-based therapeutic strategies for the repair of soft tissue injuries, including meniscus, cartilage, and tendon. He has expertise in molecular cell biology, biotechnology, and drug discovery, and is currently serving as the Section Education Chair for the Orthopaedics Research Society Meniscus section. His work has been recognized with multiple awards including New Investigator Recognition Awards from the Orthopaedic Research Society. He has also received several grants for his research initiatives.
