Biography

Jaydeep Kulkarni is an Associate Professor and holds the Fellow Silicon Laboratories Endowed Chair in Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. He received his Ph.D. degree from Purdue University in 2009. Before joining the faculty at UT Austin, he worked as a Senior Staff Research Scientist at Intel Labs Hillsboro from 2009 to 2017, during which he filed 35 patents and published approximately 100 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings. His research interests revolve around machine learning hardware accelerators, in-memory computing, emerging nano-devices, heterogeneous 3D integrated circuits, hardware security, and cryogenic computing. He has garnered several prestigious awards, including the NSF Career Award and the SRC Innovation Award. He has served on numerous technical program committees and as an associate editor for IEEE Solid State Circuit Letters and IEEE Transactions VLSI Systems. Dr. Kulkarni is actively involved in the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society and has participated in funding from organizations like DARPA, NSF, and SRC. He currently leads the Circuit Research Lab and participates in multiple research groups focusing on integrated circuits and systems.
