Biography

Dr. Jayne Sejin Joo is a Health Sciences Clinical Professor and the Director of Cosmetic Dermatology at UC Davis Health. With a focus on skin cancer surgery, cosmetic procedures including Botox and fillers, and scar therapy, she has made significant contributions to the field of dermatology. Dr. Joo completed her M.D. at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine in 2008 and her B.A. at Harvard University in 2001. She completed her internship in General Surgery/ENT at UC Davis Medical Center, followed by a residency in Dermatology at the same institution from 2011 to 2014. Dr. Joo also undertook a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cosmetic dermatology at UC Davis Medical Center from 2014 to 2015, and she has been board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology since 2014. Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Joo has published numerous research articles addressing various aspects of dermatology, including Merkel cell carcinoma and cosmetic dermatology outcomes.
