Biography

Jayne Lieb, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center, specializing in bariatric surgery and general surgery. With a focus on obesity-related diseases, Dr. Lieb performs a variety of laparoscopic and robotic minimally invasive surgical procedures. She is board certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, and is a fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Prior to joining the NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley, she served as the Associate Director of Bariatric Surgery at Jacobi Medical Center, where she played an instrumental role in building their bariatric program. Her training included a fellowship in Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida and a fellowship in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx. Dr. Lieb completed her residency at Montefiore Medical Center and served as Chief Resident in General Surgery. She grew up in New York City and currently resides in Westchester County.
