Professor Dr. Jean Christophe Bélisle Pipon

Biography

Jean-Christophe Bélisle-Pipon is a bioethicist whose research focuses on the intersection of health policy, citizen engagement, and ethical issues arising in health technology development. He has experience working in the pharmaceutical industry and government, which provides him with a unique perspective on ethical and policy challenges in health care. Bélisle-Pipon completed postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard Law School and McGill University, focusing on the ethical implications of health technologies and bioethics methodologies. He currently leads a partnership research initiative involving multiple universities to support health technology assessment agencies in managing ethical, legal, and social implications of artificial intelligence in health care. His interests also encompass patient-oriented research and the ethical conduct of drug marketing. Through innovative, participatory research approaches, Bélisle-Pipon aims to engage stakeholders in meaningful discussions about ethical dilemmas in health care.
