Biography

Jean-François Gagnon obtained his master's degree in neuropsychology from Laval University. He subsequently completed his doctorate in research and intervention at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM). He completed his first postdoctoral fellowship at the Advanced Sleep Medicine Study Centre of the Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal and his second postdoctoral fellowship at the University Institute of Geriatrics of Montreal (IUGM). He is a member of the Order of Psychologists of Quebec and holds the Canada Research Chair on cognitive decline in pathological aging. His research focuses on the interplay between sleep and cognitive processes, with significant contributions spanning studies on neurodegenerative diseases and the use of artificial intelligence in dementia markers. Gagnon has supervised numerous graduate theses, contributing to the academic development of emerging researchers in the field of psychiatry and sleep disorders.
