Dr. Jean François Henri

Biography

Jean-François Henri is a Full Professor at the Laval University Business School (FSA ULaval) and the Academic Director of the College of Directors of Corporations. He also serves as the Director of the University Center for Corporate Governance Expertise. With extensive expertise in Accounting, his research interests include management accounting, management control, production cost, and environmental management accounting. He has a comprehensive educational background, holding a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Accounting from HEC Montreal, a Master of Accounting Sciences (M.Sc.) from Université de Sherbrooke, and a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from the same university. Henri has been actively involved in various committees and educational programs at the university and has contributed significantly to the research community through his role in several organizations focused on accounting and governance. His publications and academic activities reflect a commitment to advancing knowledge in the fields of management and accounting. He has received several awards for his contributions to the field, including the Socrates Award and the Research Medal. He continues to mentor and supervise doctoral candidates, shaping the next generation of scholars in the domain of Accounting.
