Biography

Jean-Léon Thomas completed his PhD in developmental biology under Pr. Nicole Le Douarin at Collège de France in Paris. He undertook postgraduate studies on glial cell development at INSERM under Bernard ZALC at Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris. In 1997, he was appointed as an Associate Professor at the University of Marne la Vallée, later becoming a Research Director at INSERM in 2005. Since 2010, he has been leading a research group focused on ‘Oligodendrocyte development and Neurovascular interactions’ at the Research Center of the Brain and Spinal Cord Institute, Salpêtrière Hospital. Currently, he holds the position of Professor in the Neurology Department at the Yale School of Medicine and is a member of the Yale Stem Cell Center.
