Biography

Jean-Patrick Villeneuve is a full professor in Public Administration Management at the Università della Svizzera italiana. He serves as the Director of the Institute of Communication and Public Policy and leads the Public Integrity Research Group (GRIP). Additionally, he co-directs the Master's program in Public Management Policy in collaboration with the University of Lausanne and the University of Berne. Villeneuve holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration from the Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration, an M.Phil. from Cambridge University, an M.A./M.P.A. from Concordia University, and a B.A. from McGill University. His research focuses on anti-corruption, civic participation, transparency, and accountability. He critically evaluates concepts and initiatives deemed as 'absolute goods' in public administration. His work has been funded by public funding institutions including the European Science Foundation and the Swiss National Science Foundation. He has published in several top academic journals and is a member of the editorial boards of various academic associations.
