Biography

Jean-Sébastien Fallu has been a professor at the School of Psychoeducation at the University of Montreal since 2005. He holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from the same university and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in affiliation with the University of Toronto. His research focuses on the etiology and prevention of problematic substance use and related policies. He is a regular researcher at the Institute Universitaire sur les Dépendances and participates in the group for Research and Intervention on Psychoactive Substances in Quebec, as well as the Central Public Health Research Centre. Jean-Sébastien is also the director of the journal Drogues, santé et société. With over 30 publications and 60 scientific communications to his name, he has given nearly 800 media interviews. He is a co-founder and spokesperson for the organization GRIP Montreal, recognizing him as the recipient of the Forces Avenir award in 2002 for the category of Society, Communication, and Education.
