Biography

Jean Alexandre undertook undergraduate studies and a Master's degree at École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, France, and obtained a teaching qualification (Agrégation de Physique). He attended Louis Pasteur University of Strasbourg, France, where he was awarded a PhD in 1998. He completed a postdoc in a Marie Curie position within the European network focused on 'Finite Temperature Phase Transitions in Particle Physics,' based at the National Technical University of Athens in 2001. He also received a Jean Leverhulme Trust postdoc at the Department of Physics at King's College London, where he obtained a temporary lectureship and has since developed his academic career. His research interests include non-perturbative effects in Quantum Field Theory, particularly in areas such as dynamical mass generation and exact functional methods, as well as Lorentz symmetry violation in particle physics and modified gravity. Jean's contributions to research encompass a wide range of topics, highlighted in various peer-reviewed articles, including foundational aspects of black hole thermodynamics and the study of highly ionizing particles in LHC runs, which continues to contribute to the field and enhance our understanding of fundamental physics.
