Dr. Jean Bou

Biography

Jean Bou is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Strategic Defence Studies Centre at the Australian National University. He has previously held a teaching position at the Australian Command and Staff College, focusing on post-graduate programs, and has taught at the University of New South Wales at the Australian Defence Force Academy. Bou, a graduate of the University of Queensland, holds a PhD in History from the University of New South Wales. His research primarily revolves around Australian military history, with significant contributions to the Official History of Australian Peacekeeping and Humanitarian Operations in the Post-Cold War period. He has co-authored the fourth volume of this history and has a background in the Military History Section of the Australian War Memorial. He is also known for his work as a co-editor and author of numerous publications concerning various aspects of Australian military history.
