Biography

Jean Gabriel Charchaflieh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Yale School of Medicine. He obtained his Medical Degree from Aleppo University, Medical School in Syria in 1983. After completing a Research Fellowship in Anesthesiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, in Boston, Dr. Charchaflieh completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. He further specialized by undertaking a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, followed by a fellowship in Neuro-anesthesiology at the State University of New York, Health Science Center in Brooklyn. He also earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) in 2004 and a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree in 2010 from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Charchaflieh joined the Yale faculty in 2011 and has been actively involved in clinical and academic activities, contributing significantly to the fields of anesthesiology and public health.
