Dr. Jean Duquette

Biography

Jean Duquette is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Aerospace Engineering at Carleton University. He holds a B.Eng. and M.Eng. in Materials Engineering from McMaster University, a M.Sc. in Renewable Energy from Zaragoza University in Spain, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Victoria. His research focuses on modeling and simulation of low energy buildings, building-integrated sustainable energy systems, and various renewable energy technologies. He is involved in researching heat pump refrigeration cycles, solar thermal energy, and thermal energy storage. Additionally, he examines the technical, economic, and policy aspects of emerging energy systems. Dr. Duquette is associated with the Building Performance Research Centre and has contributed to various media articles in the field of energy engineering.
