Dr. Jean Higuero Sevilla

Biography

Jean Paul Higuero-Sevilla, MD, is an Assistant Professor at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. He is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and critical care medicine, and has a keen interest in interstitial lung diseases, which require a multidisciplinary approach to diagnosis and management. Higuero-Sevilla's journey into medicine was initially met with resistance due to his family's medical background; however, after studying computer science in college, he realized his passion for medicine. He states that he fell in love with internal medicine for its holistic approach to patient care. His clinical interests involve a deeply investigative approach to diagnosing complex conditions like idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, sarcoidosis, and connective tissue diseases associated with interstitial lung diseases.
