Biography

Jeanette Leusen received her PhD from the University of Amsterdam in 1995. She became an associate professor and head of the immunotherapy group at the University Medical Center Utrecht in 2006 and led the UMAB facility starting in 2012. Prof. Leusen has co-authored more than 150 publications in peer-reviewed journals and is the inventor of 13 patent applications. Her research group, consisting of 24 full-time equivalents (FTE), focuses on the mechanisms of action of therapeutic antibodies, with a special interest in IgA as a novel class of antibody treatment for malignant and infectious diseases.
