Biography

Jing-Sheng Jeannette Song is the R. David Thomas Professor at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, specializing in Operations Management. She holds a PhD from Columbia University, and her academic background includes a BS from Beijing Normal University and an MSc from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Professor Song's research focuses on operations supply chain management, including supply chain coordination mechanisms, global sourcing strategies, supplier quality risk management, and sustainable supply chain development. She has authored numerous articles in leading international journals such as Management Science and Manufacturing & Service Operations Management. Additionally, she co-edited the book 'Supply Chain Structures: Coordination, Information Optimization.' Professor Song is recognized as a Fellow of INFORMS and has held significant leadership roles, including past President of the Manufacturing Service Operations Management Society. She has also been honored as a Distinguished Overseas Young Scholar by the Natural Science Foundation of China and selected for the Thousand Talents Program by the Chinese government. Her research is supported by grants from the U.S. National Science Foundation and the Natural Science Foundation of China.
