Biography

Jeannine-Marie St-Jacques received her PhD in Biology with a specialization in environmental science from Queen's University in 2007 and has been a faculty member in the Department of Geography, Planning and Environment at Concordia University since 2017. She holds master's degrees in Botany and Mathematics. Prior to her position at Concordia, she worked for nine years as a Research Associate at the Prairie Adaptation Research Collaborative, University of Regina. Her expertise encompasses paleoclimatology, climatology, and hydrology, and she has received funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) for her research. St-Jacques collaborates with a diverse range of colleagues and students from across Quebec and abroad, focusing on environmental sciences, climatology, climate modeling, hydrology, and Indigenous Studies. Her work also includes teaching courses in environmental science and providing supervision to graduate and undergraduate research students.
