Professor Dr. Jeff Bennett

Biography

Emeritus Professor Jeff Bennett has 50 years of experience in researching, consulting, and teaching in fields such as Environmental Economics, Natural Resource Economics, Agricultural Economics, and Applied Micro-Economics. His current research interests focus on the development and application of techniques to estimate the value of non-marketed environmental benefits and costs, and to analyze alternative institutional structures that give private owners and managers of natural resources the incentive to provide environmental benefits. Professor Bennett is a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia and a Distinguished Fellow of the Australian Agricultural Resource Economics Society. His extensive research projects and reports can be accessed through the Crawford School at ANU, showcasing his contributions to the field of Environmental Economics. He has collaborated on various projects that address agricultural policy and natural resource management, demonstrating his active engagement in significant research areas.
