Jeff R. Crane is an Assistant Professor at Memorial University of Newfoundland specializing in physical activity, adapted physical activity, physical education, and physical literacy. His research focuses on the relationships between motor skills and physical activity levels in children and adolescents, including systematic reviews examining dropout rates in organized sports and the impact of early childhood weight status on motor skill development. He has contributed to numerous studies in peer-reviewed journals, exploring factors influencing children's participation in physical activities and looking at perceptions of competence among youth in relation to their physical capabilities.
