Dr. Jeff Crukley

Biography

Jeff Crukley is an industry scientist turned applied statistician with a focus on health technology, medical education, and communication/hearing science. His research interests lie primarily in Bayesian methods, contributing to advancements in the aforementioned fields. He holds a PhD in Health & Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Western Ontario, an MSc in Communication Sciences & Disorders, and a BSc Hons in Biology & Psychology from McMaster University. In addition to his current role as an Adjunct Assistant Professor, he has served as an Adjunct Lecturer in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toronto, in conjunction with appointments at the Institute of Health Policy, Management & Evaluation. His educational background is complemented by a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Medical Biophysics at the Brain Mind Institute, allowing him to blend rigorous academic training with practical applications in health-related research. His work continues to bridge the gap between scientific inquiry and real-world implementation, ensuring impactful contributions to the fields he specializes in.
