Biography

Jeff Locke is an Assistant Professor in Clinical Vision Science at Dalhousie University. He holds a BSc in Biology and Chemistry (Honours) from Cape Breton University, conferred in 2011, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Vision Science from Dalhousie University, obtained in 2018. Currently, he is a PhD candidate in Biology at Dalhousie University. Jeff is a certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist and has extensive clinical experience, serving as the Orthoptist/Ophthalmic Medical Technologist at the IWK Health Centre and leading the Visual Electrophysiology Team. His research focuses on visual electrodiagnostic psychomotor testing techniques and conditions affecting the visual system, including inherited retinal dystrophies and optic neuropathies. He is also involved in applying machine learning to clinical vision science and has participated as a committee member for MSc students in the Clinical Vision Science program.
