Biography

Jeff Sahadeo is a Professor in the Department of History at Carleton University, where he is also cross-appointed to the European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies program. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research focuses on various aspects of Russian and Eurasian history, including imperialism, migration, and contemporary issues in Central Asia and the Caucasus. Sahadeo has published extensively on topics relating to Russian colonial society and the historical memory of migration during the Soviet period, contributing to several academic books and articles in prominent journals. He is known for his interdisciplinary approach, linking history with contemporary socio-political issues in the region.
