Biography

Jeffery Hall is a neurosurgeon and Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University's Montreal Neurological Institute. He specializes in the surgical treatment of epilepsy and holds an MSc in Neuroscience/Neuropsychology from the University of Western Ontario. Hall completed his medical degree at the University of Toronto, graduating cum laude. He underwent his neurosurgical residency at McGill/MNI and received the Penfield-MacNaughton Award. Following his residency, Hall completed a fellowship in epilepsy surgery under Dr. Andre Olivier at the Montreal Neurological Institute. He joined the attending staff at the MNI in 2004 and has been involved in post-doctoral training supported by the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill and the Detweiler Traveling Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. His current research focuses on developing non-invasive methods for delineating epileptic foci and the application of image-guided neurosurgery for epilepsy. Hall is dedicated to providing patient-centered care and actively participates in teaching and mentoring residents. He is also a member of the Neurosurgery Examination Committee of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
