Dr. Jeffery Kocsis

Biography

Jeffery Kocsis is a Professor of Neurology specializing in the fields of neuroscience and nerve regeneration. He leads research initiatives focusing on cell transplantation, spinal cord injuries, and ion channels, specifically within the context of the central nervous system. Kocsis serves as the Director of Postdoctoral Studies and is the Associate Director of the Yale Center for Neuroscience Regeneration Research. He has also held a significant position as a Senior Medical Research Career Scientist with the Department of Veterans Affairs. His academic journey includes a Postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School and obtaining his PhD from Wayne State University.
